Generally

We are very flexible and willing to participate in whatever you bring to us.  We are open to whatever God inspires you to share with us.

Our numbers fluctuate from week to week, it is usual to start the service with under ten adults and have up to double that amount by the end.   We regularly have over ten children in Junior Church, from toddlers up to early teens.

We are able to provide readers for the bible readings, but due to a lack of resource request that you lead your own prayers of intercession.

We use the NRSVA Bible (New Revised Standard Version Anglicised), and Singing the Faith hymn books on the first and third Sundays in the month and a selection of videos on the others (see link below).

We have a large screen at the front of the church, when we can, we will prepare and operate a simple AV presentation of the hymn/song words.  When we are not able to do this we will use hard copy song and worship books.

There is an HDMI connection at the lectern for audio visual presentations during the service, you are welcome to prepare and deliver your own presentation.  If you would like to do this please let us know.

Please ensure we receive your Order of Service by the Tuesday before your service on the Sunday.

Morning Worship

The youngsters go straight to their groups on arrival, and come into the service before the last hymn to bring forward the offering for dedication.  After that the children often like to share what they have been doing that morning with the church family, though not always.

All Age Worship

Our numbers fluctuate from week to week, it is usual to start the service with under ten adults and have up to double that amount by the end.   For All Age Services we regularly have more than ten children, from babies up to early teens, and they will be present throughout. We would appreciate the service being prepared with the youngsters in mind, and it being as accessible to them as possible.

Holy Communion

We regularly have over ten children in Junior Church, from toddlers up to early teens.  They go straight to their groups on arrival, and come into the service later to share fully in the Communion. The congregation stand in a line across the front of the church to receive the bread and wine.  We usually provide an assistant to serve the wine.  Before the last hymn the youngsters will bring the offering forward for dedication, and may then want to share what they have been doing with the rest of the church family, though not always.

We use congregational copies of the Methodist Worship Book Communion Service (occasionally we follow the liturgy on the large screen display).

If you have any questions, or require further information, do please contact me.

Thank you,

Mark.
